On the side stand with the engine at normal operating temperature. It's in the owner's manual. Get one if you don't have one.

Byron is right, got my 05 Road King in Feb 07 and dealer told me check it on side stand.

I have to agree with Byron. Level surface on side stand at operating temp.

Check on jiffy stand, your dipstick may even say this, get owners manual. The 07 touring models have 2 sides of the stick, one for jiffy stand, one if you got a sidecar. suprised you would have a centerstand it is usually only an option or aftermarket add on.

Unless Harleys are different then every other motorcycle on the road then you check it straight and level. (Center stand.) It seem Byron and I disagree. Check your owners manual dude.

My shop manual (Clymer's) for an Evo says check with bike straight upright, on level ground (not a sloped driveway).
