I just started working with this company about 4 months ago. I have no problem with everything and everyone else but my boss. She's really bad in communicating and conveying message. She didn't even know how to give order if she wants something. Her instruction always half way and she expect people to read her mind and understand what she really wants with the hanging sentence. When we try to say something she will scold us and tell us not to argue with her. We can't event defend ourselves when something goes wrong. She will just scream at us blindly. I really don't understand this kind of people.
Now, I was thinking of shifting job but I do not know whether will it look good on my CV as I only work here for 4 months.
Should I stay or should I go and look for a new job?

Be clear your reasons for stying or leavng. U got some good pts there about it beign good on the CV, but morr important is not the CV, but what u have learnt from the short stint there.

If you can survive your boss till you ahve learnt something good that will enhacne your expereince and hence your CV, then stay - but be clear on what u want to learn and achieve and then "get out"! But if it really makes your life miserable and unlikely that you can learn anythign good out of it, then there is no reason to stay.

But I got this lesson from my dad ... if you can work with the tough boss, then while everyone has abondoned ship, but u r still there, then the boss will come to trust u, that is a good position to be in, particularly if the boss rewards well (pay and promotion etc.) but you will have to accept your boss' moods and behaviour (some people can and some can't).

Remember that all said and done, you health and happiness is the most important. Cheers

If you don't get the correct amount of instruction, you need to go talk to your boss, asking her to please help you to understand what she wants you to do. Act like it is YOUR problem in understanding and that you just want to help her as best you can. Have a steno pad and write down the steps.

If she persists in blind rages, you will have to consider:
(1) transfering to a different department,
(2) talking to someone in HR to see about getting an intervention of some sort.
(3) finding another job.

Consider keeping a small tape recorder in your pocket and have it going when she comes in to issue orders... diplomatically ask questions if you have any... and see if she blows up. Try following up to try to get her to give you clearer instructions. Collect a few of these conversations to play either for the HR department or for her boss. At some point they will figure out that this "boss" of yours is a problem that needs to be fixed.

You can get small tape recorders with condenser mics in them relatively cheaply at a lot of department and office supply stores.

My question is Do you like your job there or not? Does your boss own that company or not? coz if not, no probs then, because you won't be dealing with your boss from time to time, unless if you really have to communicate to her all the time.
