He cancelled our dinner date last minute saying he's going to this business thing in dowtown Los angeles today called the Entrepenuer of the year awards at the marriot or something. But why couldn't he take me AND his best friend works at a bar on thursdays. Is this EOY thing really happening?

Call the Marriot and ask them if the EOY awards is happening there, and verify the time and location.

I looked up Marriott Hotel awards ceremonies on the Net for you, but only found a National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA) convention listed, 8-11 November. One way of finding out for certain (in case it's also taking place there) is to ask his friend who works at the bar. Check before you jump to conclusions.

Has he ever gave you a reason to doubt him???? Well, take it from someone who knows...trust him. Thats a bit of a far fetched lie...because he knows you can check on that, so I think he is probably telling the truth. If he had said he was sick or something??? Then who knows. Don't be a whinny girl, and want to go every where with him, and know his every move.....trust him until he gives you a reason not to trust him. You'll push him away by trying to hold him back, you're suposed to accent him, not control him.

Tell him ur hurt he cancelled and wanna know if something is going on
thats the only real way to find out

When a woman has an intiution that something is wrong, it usually is. If I were you I would be straight-up about it and assess his response. Did he seem like he was lying to you? Go with your gut girl...and show him you won't take that treatment from him.

you could follow him and find out but when you are not sure he is lying during your dating-episodes he never Will make a good husband........so what are you gonna do about it.IF HE IS REAL cute just take him to bed once

You should ask him how it went, and ask detailed questions. If it seems like he is panicing and making up answers, you should just watch him very closely.
