Think about it..I realize that the east coast is UNDOUBTEDLY the greatest when It comes to rap..but seriously, the West coast has 1. Much better recognition and organization (read Dr. Dre), and 2. I think that more people(in the mainstream) are more excited about guy's like the Game and Bishop lamont over guy's like Papoose and Joel Ortiz...and 3. i just don't think that that classic "boom bap" feel will ever get popular in the mainstream again...I do realize that the east coast is hotter on the underground scene right now...but do you really expect louis logic to go plat anytime soon? (No)..anway...think about it and discuss...

I doubt the East COast will ever be mainstream again, people would rather hear a beat that thumps in ur trunk over a smooth jazzy beat like Premo and other eastcoast cats make. Plus, as Eazy and Cube said, the ****** in the hood like that gangsta sh*t. I prefer the east, i live on the west. But Im also a bit of a backpacker and doubt people really listen to music the same way, they want what sounds good on the first listen, and what raddles ur trunk.

I dont know looking at the state of hip hop now...You point out the Game...but you have to look at the guys like Jay-Z, 50, Busta, guys still doin it as far as mainstream...I dont think that either is gonna emerge as a power house or dominate because the trend of how hip hop is viewed has changed...after the south i have no idea of where hip hop will move...A lot of ppl are hungering that old skool ish...thats why the hip hop honors tour is doing so well...maybe some of these artist should come back...(idk)i also think that it could headed to the underground for real...

But I think if I had to make a choice I would say to the east...well because they are having more activity and anticipation for releases...American G...8 diagrams...the Rakim joint...Saigon(even tho I doubt that it will drop)...Cuban Linx 2...O yea and is the west coast only relying on Dre as far as production and the Game to hold them down...thats not enuff...word up

nicely Hip-Hop originated in the East Coast, so i think of East Coast rappers & their followers are offended while a various group has a various form of rap that they do no longer seek for use to listening to. They experience that different areas are cheapening the unique sound of rap and hip-hop. It wasn't rather hate in the direction of the west coast rap style, yet as FreshlySnypes mentioned it became commonly because of the feud between undesirable Boy and loss of existence Row. Southern rap has been regarded down upon in the eyes of East Coast rappers because of the fact the stereotype is all they communicate approximately is autos, females, money, etc. I admit that i'm no longer rather partial to southern rap yet Hip Hop is all approximately bringing some thing unique to the table. yet have you ever observed that as quickly as an East Coast rapper says "Hip Hop Is lifeless", the only region that takes offense to that's the South. i do no longer think of its 'hate' however, it is merely fake effect.
