The national debt has risen during all presidencies.
What war were we in during the Reagan years?
And what economic downturn are you talking about?

As you can see, the debt rose 2 trillion dollars during the Clinton years, with no war. And it only rose 1 trillion during the Reagan years.

b) there was no expensive wars- just a little one, the invasion of Grenada

b) there was no war during Ronnie's reign...
(only the Iran-Contra Crisis, but this was a conflict where South American death squads (contra's) were paid by selling fighter jet parts to Iran) Go team America!
