thinking about getting a new original xbox.
do places like Game Crazy or Gamespot still sale new original xboxs?

GameStop has a TON of used XBoxes for only $40. They come with a 30-day guarantee, and you can purchase an additional year-long warranty for somewhere between $10 and $20. I'd recommend just getting the used system; most people traded in their old XBox to get a 360, so it's not like every used XBox is only there because it's broken.

No. The system was discontinued about a year after the 360 came out. You can usually find used systems on Ebay, or your local game store might have some.

It will be hard to find a new one. Microsoft has dropped all support of the first Xbox console. However you can easily find a used/refurbished one at Game Stop and probably some record stores.

Im not just telling you this because I own stocks of ebay .
just make sure they say it works perfect and they have good feedback .

some might have them used, just call your local stores and ask, or you can get one online at gamestop.
