I'm very open about everything. This isn't to say I am proud of every single thing I've done in my life, but kids can learn from both my sucesses and mistakes. Yes I do tell them that I experimented with some drugs. I also tell them the reason I think they should avoid them is because some of them had realy bad effects.

Don't try to make your kids beleive you never did anything wrong or stupid. That may work when they are very young but by the time they are teenagers they will realize it is bs. They will take you more seriously and you can teach them a lot more if you tell them about your own mistakes and what consequences you personaly had to suffer as a result of your misguided actions.

When it comes to my kids I did absolutely nothing, ever, until they came into my life. I admit nothing and lie through my teeth, because I don't want them tossing things back in my face when they are in the midst of a teenage hissy fit. One day, maybe I will let them know that I was a real human prior to becoming their mother.

1.You are supposing that it would be something you are ashamed of admitting
2.You are assuming your children would n't be able to understand.
3. You don't want your children to be ashamed of you.
Do you think children are incapeable of knowing when you are hedgeing the truth. When they are mature of knowing the truth never lie or hide the truth from them.
