For me, the answer would go something like this:

Diversity means that everyone is different. People who work here, people who shop here, and people who don't shop here - everyone has a different background, everyone has a different opinion. These differences should be respected - no one is "wrong" if they don't like a scarf that I think is great or if they think something is great that I would never wear! It is important to give everyone a positive experience - if they are a customer or a co-worker - and to respect their opinions and points of view. I would treat them all like I want to be treated.

Answer exactly how you feel. Diversity means variety, use your life as an example (your personality, school, friendships, experiences, family, the public) These are just some ideas you can speak on.

Diversity = mix of people; all ethnicities, nationalities, creeds, sexual orientations.

Diversity - indicates tolerance/acceptance. Provides an opportunity to get new ideas; fosters creativity.

I would suggest you answer them what you believe is the answer. Your answer in an interview is usually more correct than formulated answers as they represent you.
