hey all,

I'm pretty new to the whole widescreen LCD monitor thing. I have just purchased an ASUS 22" widescreen LCD monitor and have noticed that the picture is stretched horizontally to fill the whole screen. On the monitor itself you can adjust between stretched full screen and 4:3 which is normal but cut off on the ends. Is there any way to have a normal looking picture that fills the whole screen??

Thanks in advance

ron

You need to set your desktop resolution to a widescreen setting. The monitor will look the best if you set it to the native resolution of the panel - 1680 by 1050.

If that resolution is not available then upgrade your video drivers.
