Your teacher sounds SO tight!
But NO SCHOOL :O That's like my dream day!

If it was me I would take it to your principal or something, get your mum to write a letter of complaint saying that you need to go to school, but you also need to get well. In this case it sounds as if you are well enough/not contagious to go to school, but you also need a small aount of medication to make sure that you get better and return to peak performance to help you learn. If your mum works, you should put in that if you are well enough to go to school then your mum should not have to take a day off work to stay home and look after you.

Hope that helped in some way :S

I hope you are getting well now....the teacher was right....you should be at home resting and not giving your cough virus to your classmates. Please continue to take your medications, a lot of juice and water, and rest-rest-rest. If you're worried about missing a day or two or three, just ask your best friend for some notes on the lectures, what chapters were discussed and what homeworks you need to do. When you feel a little better, read ahead and do the homeworks, so you don't fall behind. Take care and hope you get well soon.

Well, don't blame the teacher for not giving you the medicine. The way the over-reactive laws are right now, school officials are afraid to even give out aspirin - I doubt she was being any more strict with you than she would be with any other student.
I'm glad the rest of your day went well, and I hope you get to feeling better soon.

In most school districts in the USA, it is banned for teachers to give drugs for fear of lawsuits if something goes wrong. If you're that sick, just stay home. The school nurse may can give you drugs if approved by your mom.

It was not the teacher job to give you meds. Your mom should have taken it to the nurse and told her. And if you were that sick you should not have been at school in the first place...

Granted, if you're sick then you shouldn't be at school. But what I hate is when you get close to your absentee limit, and you HAVE to go to school, and their like "If you're sick you shouldn't be here" and you're like "Ok then I'll go home" and their like "If you miss anymore time and work you're not going to graduate" and it's like "Wow, make up your mind, you twits!"
