Have to tell you - I thought about it a LOT and then found out I was allergic to NutraSweet. Are you using a lot of diet drinks?
You might try laying off of them for awhile and see if those thoughts go away.

But even now, years later, I'll occassionally have a fleeting thought -" you could kill yourself right now". I even know how I would do it (left over from the NutraSweet days). But thank God, I consider it one of the most selfish acts a person can do, I have seen the pain it causes the family left behind, and so I keep going - and pretty soon I'm glad it was just a passing thought.

I have had those types of thoughts for a very long time and because of comments other people have made over my lifetime I think it is normal. (btw, I'm 51)
This is assuming that you are generally a happy person as I am and always have been.
If you're not, you might want, or even need, some help.

I think it's natural to think about how much easier somethings would be in life if you were dead. Who would miss you, what would it feel like to die...as long as there's no extensive planning involved I think it's fine. I thik most people have thought about it at least once, even if it is just a fleeting thought.
