I find the best cleaner is the enzyme cleaner available at the local pet store for pet stains. It foams up only where the stain is and effectively "eats" away the stain, and wipes up with a damp cloth. No smell and no stain. Just spray, soak, brush with a dry brush and wipe up with a towel, and stain is gone.

go to walmart and buy an upholstery cleaner and a carpet cleaner
the directions usually state the use of a vacuum for one or both
unbolt and remove the seats ( front and back)
go to work on the upholstery
while waiting for that to set in, Remove the carpet from the car.
go to work on the carpet
Put the drivers seat back in place so you can drive the car
go to the closet car wash
bring the carpet and other seats with you
(choose one that has good vacuums, but not too busy ( you don't want too much attention drawn to yourself))
go to work with the vacuum
while at the car wash buy some air fresheners
at home reinstall the carpet then the seats

set off the air fresheners on high
crack the windows and lock the doors

carpet cleaner $5
upholstery cleaner $5
car wash vacuum (more than one cycle to do it right) $10
air fresheners $5
a clean, fresh smelling car $Priceless
Kids that won't mess it up in a week $Rare
I forgot to had you will need a scrub brush to tackle the tougher stains. $2 take it out of the vacuum money

a vacuum and get a plastic hard bristled brush some tide and water . mix it in a pail ,dip the brush in the suds and scrub then rinse and dry with a terry cloth towel . this is how you clean upolstery if you want to use carpet cleaning soap go for it . not much difference though ...use armour all for your dash and you should be in good shape . oh a little windex for the glass. I've done carpeted stairs and furniture professionally this way with great results .usually you can find a tire brush with white plastic bristles for the job .it 's better than steam cleaning but you might use both if you like the agitation makes a world of difference .

Car washes clean seats and carpet for $60. If there's a DIY car wash in your area check if they have the machine to wash cloth seats and carpets, cost about $2 for every 5 minutes

Hi, I would check about renting a steam cleaner if you don't know anyone that already has one. Most Food Lion and major grocery stores rent them at the front of the store and it's inexpensive. I think they have hand models available. After you clean it-----remember---NO MORE DRINKING IN THE CAR. Good luck.
