Whenever it's done in good fun, with no bad intentions, or cruel intentions... then it's fine.
I make fun of myself....

When you would be making fun of a not so serious but more humorus thing, and when you and the person are comfortable enough to make fun of eachother in a jokingly way and not create tension or bad feelings. I learned that from experience when I thought me and this girl were tight with eachother, so I made one joking comment, and got told off. When in doubt, just don't do it ;)

Depends on who and what. If its a friend of course as long as your intent is not to hurt them. If its a stranger NOOOO unless its a harmless joke or laugh at something they did just to make them feel more comfy about a situation. Also Im a Christian but there are times where I will make fun of a person who is being mean to someone, say someone is laughing at someone obese or someones clothing and they are being mean, I have been known to raise my voice and purposely point them out to humilitation, I find it quite gratifying. HAHA go figure

I do not think it is ever appropriate to make fun of someone as it just shows a weakness in your character. I know someone who gossips about everyone and everything and she is an ignorant, evil *****!

i would have to say make all the fun you want of what someone may have done in a situation but do not personally attack the person themself. i.e. like saying, "Man that ball was so far over thrown not even a fan could have caught it. As opposed to, "dude, you suck at throwing. if i was you i'd quit and maybe start tossing." Something like that.Just think to yourself, How would I feel if someone said to ME like I want to say to HIM? Then you'll know. Hope this helps. Chris g.

always. but the question is when is it appropriate to make fun of them out loud. in that case only when you know they have a good sense of humor and you don't mind making fun of yourself. don't dish it out if you can't take it.

It's not nice to make fun of people. I always think of how I would feel if someone was teasing me. I wouldn't want to hurt any ones feelings.

No. it's not. It sounds so completly corny, I know it does and if someone told me this i'd think "why do they think I'm listening?" but you really do have to put yourself in the person's shoes. If someone was making fun of you, honestly, you'd most likely hate it, even if you wouldn't admit it.
