Because the word communist conjures up negative images, even though most people don't know what communism means.
Not that I would ever vote for a communist, nevertheless, with all the negativeness of the word communist, I'd say that is the biggest reason.

Never gets enough? Even one is too many.
Despite numerous attempts, Communism has not succeeded even once in producing a prosperous free society.
Why does it fail? Because it ignores basic human motivations.

Because no one truly believes in equality - not even you. Your rather idiotic, rude, hateful, racist question about Republicans proves that. Communism doesn't work, honey - but if you REALLY are that into it, I'd be willing to take up a collection to help you get to Venezuela, China, Cuba, or the communist rat hole of your choice.

Because it is a dream that can only come true if there is no Ambition, Greed, and Religion in a given country. Any one or all cause the system to be abused then fall.
