Well, if they win out and don't go to the national championship, they will DEFINITELY go to the Rose Bowl. That is where the Pac-10 champion (if available) goes. I don't see them going to New Orleans if neither LSU nor Ohio State lose one.

If Ohio St, LSU and Oregon all win out, I would give Oregon at 40% chance of passing LSU in the BCS standings and playing for the National Championship. Otherwise they play in the Rose Bowl.

Oregon has already been screwed by the BCS in the past. If they go unbeaten I think they should be in. For those that do not remember just think of the 2001 National Championship when the Nebraska Cornhuskers went into the title game, despite getting their rears handed to them by Colorado in their season finale, over the Oregon Ducks.
BTW I have a feeling OSU will NOT finish unbeaten anyway.

If Ohio St beats Illinois and Michigan, they are in the title game. (Come on Ilini and/or Wolverines!) If LSU wins out they are in the title game. (Come on Rebels, Razorbacks, or SEC East Champs!) So unless OSU or LSU lose Oregon has no chance to get in. If Oregon runs the table (Come on Wildcats, Bruins or Beavers!) but don't get in the title game, they will almost certainly go to the Rose Bowl

Although exciting to talk about :) I think we need to worry about Arizona, UCLA, and Oregon State, before we worry about Bowls. We should have learned in the past to not speculate about Bowls to far in the future, or we just might end up in the Emerald Bowl, or even worse back in Vegas although both those places are great. The Oregon team is trying to think one game at a time, so should its fans as they are part of the team.

i'm afraid that oregon will be this year's odd man out, even though they will be more deserving. but, both lsu and osu have tough games ahead, lsu has the play the sec championship game and osu has michigan. so they still have a good shot at the championship game.

they basically have to hope OSU or LSU loses a game. Oregon is the best this year in my opinion, but hey, that's the beauty of the BCS. it's B.S, and we'll never know who the true national champion is. err. i mean, the best team this year.

Don't worry, the overrated Ohio state will lose and Oregon will move up, all in due time.
