This answer will sound very boring but truth is study study study. Get all you can from your education and go to college. Once you get your Degree you can choose how you want to live your life. If you don't get a good education it will surely dictate how you live your life. I know this answer sucks but it could not be any truer.

Study and maintain high marks. Join clubs and socialize with other students that are motivated and serious about their futures. Avoid the pitfalls of the frivolous and the anti-social crowds. If you are into athletics try out for the teams. If not, participate in the various clubs. It can be especially rewarding to involve yourself in an area you never considered. For instance, if you are very scholastic by nature, join the drama club, or the spirit committee or even the band or twirlers.

It is an excellent way to expand your horizons and gather new experiences. Avoid drugs, alcohol and sexual activity as these things can only bring undesired negative results at this stage of your life. Volunteer and participate and you will be among a much better class of people than the shallow party oriented or the depressed.

Pray every day for them to pass quickly! Just kidding. Join a few clubs, and don't be afraid to try for things you want, like audition for the class play, or try out for the soccer team, if you want. Also, be friendly and polite to people, even if they are not so nice to you, or weird, or whatever, and don't talk bad about other people, it just makes you look bad. But remember, the most important thing is to study hard and get good grades, so you can get into a good college.

Join clubs that you are interested in so you can meet ppl with similar interests. Just have fun!Of course study and make good grades, but don't keep your head in book all the time. Also, if you want to go to college, I suggest finding teachers that you really like and get close to them. You will always need them in the future for references. When I was in school I was a band nerd, but it was a lot of fun playing music and going to all of the football games.

My best advice to you is to get involved. Keep your grades up so you can participate in sports, band or choir if thats what your into, student government........whatever....just get involved. When I got out of highschool my biggest regret was not getting involved. Have fun, party with the best of them, but have your priorities in order. The parties are fun, but the people you want to surround yourself with are the ones that are gonna encourage you to be great........this is where the getting involved part comes into play. Sometimes it's easy to get cought up in trying to be accepted, but the only person responsible for your future, is you. So make the best of your high school years, by remembering this is your final journey before you are out on your own and get involved.

Make sure that you document everything!!! Bring a digital camera to school and take pics of you, your friends, teachers everyone. Also make sure that you shy away fron the drama, Drama can ruin everything because it's hard to contain in a highschool setting, I know I had big drama when I was in highschool just three years ago, and I wish somethings were done differently.

Remember this dont take the drama seriously! Things seem so big in highschool, but want to know something it means nothing as soon as you graduate.

i remember all the drama everyone had, so concerned about (popularity, clicks, etc...), but it doesnt matter.

Also dont fool yourself into thinking the person you are going out with is your soul mate. i wasted a year of high school depressed cuz my girl dumped me. I got better and found my soul mate!

Get involved in the clubs that are at your school. Live in the moment and enjoy every bit of high school as much as you can. You will look back in the long run and be happy that you did.

Just enjoy every moment of it and let the drama go, some teenagers (including myself) held on to all the drama and just dwelled on it, if you go through rough times its okay everyone does but dont make it your life, just let things go and move on and enjoy high school you'll never have those moments back and once you graduate you hit real world!! good luck :)
