THIS IS THE REAL ANSWER!
Get their name.
Get the name of the Credit Agency.
Get their address.
Get their FAX number.
Write a letter, listing their name, company name, address and fax number.
Tell them to "cease and desist" contacting you through your telephone or by mail.
List your telephone number and address on the letter.
Make 3 copies.
Tape them end to end.
Stand by the FAX.
Call them and make sure someone is by their fax.
Start faxing the 3-in-1 document.
When the paper comes out of the fax, tape it to the other end of the papers, making a loop.
Tell them that you will continue faxing until they acknowledge receipt of the letter.
When they do, tell them that you are filing a complaint with the District Attorney for their violating a "cease and desist" order and will swear charges if they call again.
They won't.

Get a new phone number, preferably unlisted. If any collectors do manage to find this new number, tell them they have the wrong number and hang up immediately without answering any questions. If you can afford it, get caller ID with various blocking features--you can even get a call-block feature in many areas that screens every call before you answer it. If you have to give out a number to businesses or online, use a cell phone number, because any number you use will eventually end up in your credit report, and the collectors will find it. There may be laws in your area regarding collection companies' activities, but they are difficult to enforce, so you won't be able to rely on this.

There is nothing you can do to stop the collectors from calling aside from paying them I suggest if yours sons obligations are big he might consider filing for bankruptcy. This will stop all collection calls immediately. Otherwise, he can try a credit counseling company who will assist him in re-organizing his debt or simply change your phone number and make it an unlisted number.

My cellular telephone selection replaced into positioned on the employer card of a dentist in Tijuana!!!! i'm getting approximately 500 calls consistent with month soliciting for an Archurro Gonzales! you would be unable to truly do something yet tell those those that they have got the incorrect selection. you need to swap your telephone selection in case you had to... regardless of if it somewhat is bill creditors searching for somebody else, while they ask for the guy, ask to talk to a supervisor so which you would be able to enable them to understand to take your telephone selection off by using fact the touch selection.

Does he live with you?
If they are calling his residence, then you telling them to stop isn't going to do a thing.
If not, then you can WRITE to each company and tell them he doesn't live with you, and in accordance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act you are instructing them not to call you any more.
If he does live there, he has certain rights to stop "most" calls under the same act. The link below is to the text of the act.

Tell them that you are recording this call and you consider this harassment and you don't want to be called again. If they want to contact you use the mail. Also tell them that you are not the one who owes this bill and that you know that it is illegal to call you after you have asked them to stop calling.
Listen to witwwats that is the best idea I have ever heard on this subject

You must have their addresses. Send them letters telling them not to contact you again. Make sure you get a return receipt. After one that you have warned (via letter) contacts you again, go find yourself a lawyer. In the US it is a slam dunk at that point; you'll end up with triple the amount owed and they debt will be gone.

Send them a letter telling them to stop contacting you.............
They, by law, can contact you ONE MORE TIME to tell you they are terminating contact.
After that, if they contact you again, you can nail them.
You can also block their numbers, but it is difficult to do for business numbers b/c they can call from many sub-numbers.........
