The hypocracy is what bothers me particularly. The networks pose to be "objective" dispensers of news; yet, the sponsor "green week" unquestioningly. Since they are "objective," why don't they have a "Global Warming Is A Hoax" week?
Here's my problem with Al Gore: he won't debate a credible opponent (the same is true of Michael Moore). Instead, he wages a campaign through the media and Hollywood to promote his ideas, but he won't debate someone like, say, Thomas Sowell.

Oh yeah I agree!!!! And why did Al Gore win the nobel peace prize? What "peace" did he achieve? The only thing he did was go around preaching (with no proof whatsoever) that man is killing the planet. A freakin monkey could have done that!!

I think it's it's a great idea! Golly gee, I've started turning off my lights when I don't need them, I keep my home at 60 degrees during the winter, I've stopped idling my car for 30 minutes in the driveway, I've sworn off dolphin burgers, I planted a tree in my backyard, I use my own waste to fertilize my organic garden, and I'm saving up the twenty grand or so I'll need to buy that new hybrid so I can go to work and be a contributing taxpayer! Thanks Al! I see the light! IT'S ALL MY FAULT!!!!!!

Too bad. I'm not sick of it. Man-made global warming is a serious threat--and is science, fully proven.
The right-wing crackpots don't like hearing that--and want to pretend there is a "debate." But here isn't--and no one is going to indulge them by letting them pretend anyone takes them seriously.
And the more the information gets put out there on the media, the better. That helps counter the lies of the so-called "skeptics."

Fortunely I work nights and don't get to see him. Saw enough of that person in the runup to the 2000 election. Couldn't stand him then and I doubt time has improved him.

It's stupid. If they were really concerned, they would shut down MSNBC with all their crappy programming in order to save some energy.
