This coach, Ruud Gullit, is one the three greatest Dutchman footballer of all times. He was an AC Milan player and won two times the Uefa Champions league. He played and coached Chelsea as well.

Gullit has the skills to help the LA Galaxy, but people shouldn't think he would come with a magic stick to boost this club, it's all about the players on the field to win and put this club higher in the MLS league!

Nothing but Basura here!!! As you see, most of the people here dont give a flying fu(k about the MLS!! Both of the Southern California teams are garbage, along with every other team in its league!!! They could bring anyone they want....the league will still be garbage! Go ask this question in the FIFA WORLD CUP SECTION and I'm pretty sure your neighbors across seas will tell you otherwise if you guys think the MLS will catch up the Premier League in the next 10year!!!

he is a legendary player. i would rank him in one of the best 100 all time greats. also known for his wild hair style, considering the late 80's and early 90's had their own styles.

considering how bad galaxys players are, he can probably sub-in for some games....haha...

all kiddings aside, he can definitely improve the team's skill. the player will be benefited by his coaching.

however, he might get bored with MLS's low level of soccer played in US. he'll be back in europe in a year or two if he doesn't see MLS stepping up its quality.

I love the MLS insults. These are the same people that will swear they supported the league from the start when it catches the rest of Europe in 10 years. You're kidding yourself if you deny it. The U.S. can dominate whatever sport it decides to dominate. Even now its only really below maybe 7-8 leagues in Europe (EPL, Bundes, Serie A, Primera, Eredivisie, Ligue 1, etc.)

The ChivasUSA idiot is even better. One good year and now Shitvas is the best? Nice try. Couldn't even get past the first round. Rent is due on the first.

This guy has never been one to impress the fans. Bombed out of biggest three jobs after one year. We'll see. At least he'll be better than Steve Sampson.

A Dutch player is a slight improvement over a British player but its still someone with Premier League connections. I don't want MLS to be the equivalent of a lower division English League. I want them to play exciting soccer like most of the Latin American leagues do. Bring us some Brazilian and Argentine coaches please.

never heard of him, but dutch coaches are some of the best in the world so I guess it's a good deal for the Galaxy (don't really care much for them either)

He can be from your mom's a$$ and that wouldn't mean $hite. A coach can only take his team as far as how talented the team is, and galaxy is lacking a lot of that, with the exception of Guzan. They should have just stuck with Yallop, this team will keep failing as long as Lalas is with them.

Go to the MLS section to ask this question.

Oh right, there isn't one.

Oh and to that guy that said the MLS will catch up to the European level in 10 yrs, i doubt it. This league is only good for players who are about to retire and want to get their last good multi-million dollar deal. Like that, i doubt that the league will ever progress.
