Dodgers are good possibility for a couple of reasons. Joe Torre is one and the Dodgers are badly in need of some offense.

But there are some other teams that could get in the mix. The Houston Astros, Cardinals and the White Sox. All of these teams are use to winning, but have recently struggled. One of the struggles has been offense. And they all are in need of a shortstop or third basemen. So will wait and see.

But nobody is spending $350 million. At best I see him signing a seven year $200 million deal.

well I am a Giants fan and even though A-rod is a very good player I hope he does not join the Giants. I think that unless A-rod signs with a team that is built around buying expensive free agents to create your team, I think the team that gets him will be making a mistake because I think a team should spread their money out fairly evenly to get serveral good players to balance the team instead of one GREAT player to build the team around. Yes you need a couple really good players to make a good team but I don't think A-rod is nearly worth the money he is expecting. Besides, what if one team goes out and spends a whole bunch of money on this guy and builds the team around him and then A-rod gets hurt. There goes your team pretty much. Besides, what has A-rod done for a team in the playoffs?...strikeout...not much

I'm a Giants/Red Sox fan, and I'm hoping he signs with the Giants (and hope the Sox resign Lowell), but I say this as a baseball fan and not a Giants fan, I think he has a good chance of going there. We just got rid of Barry Bonds, Benitez and Morris are gone, so we have enough money to acquire A-Rod. It'd be a smart move, we haven't had a big HR/RBI man since 2004 (Bonds' last MVP season) and now we have no big stars, it'd be smart strategically and it'd be a good business idea (A-Rod draws out a crowd, period).

At this time I believe the Angels have the inside track followed by the Mets, Red Sox, and Dodgers in that order.

None of the above. I think he will go to the Mets, simply so that they can stick it to the Yankees AGAIN!, and solidify their claim as NY's team. They can move David Wright to another position very easily, and they easily have more money than any other team, except the Yankees.

The Angels make the most sense because they have an absolute glut of talent in the minor leagues, they have money to blow, they have forgiving fans, and they need a 3B with power. Forgive me if I've left any other perfect match aspect out of this.

The Giants have a huge hole in their payroll and in their fan appeal. Signing another potential home run champion to bring people in to see a .500 or below team makes sense for them.
