Have to laugh... I went to look at an answer I gave to someone's question so I could check my sources of stats given and find out more about the info they gave in their question, because it was interesting. And I can't view it now because it seems that the person who asked the question has blocked me for some reason. All I did was answer from a different political perspective based on published information, but I certainly didn't offend or threaten them in any way at all.

I would provide a link to the question but I don't want to embarrass the person who blocked me.

Do people here block others just because they want one-sided answers that they will agree with? Seems to defeat the whole point of participating in Q&A. I only block trolls or wierdos, very rarely too.

What do you reckon?

Ok, I don't even want to admit this....but I don't even know how to block somebody on Yahoo answers....I'm sure I could probably figure it out in less than 1 minute, but I really don't see a desire too.....The only ones I could think would block someone would be the Rep's, because they really don't like someon who appose their views....and if you are a Rep..then I'm sorry for your affiliation, but the Rep's are really starting to p**s me off.

I've been blocked apparently several times. The last time I know I wasn't being offensive, just making a point, and now the question is off my system.

I agree that many seem to block others just to reinforce their own viewpoints.

If you get blocked/reported, is it possible to lose your email account?

When my most recent block came, the person I was responding to called me "beardog." Attempted insult, I guess.

I agree catsneeze.

My views tend to be democratic...but I also mix in Bible verses as well. I'm a Christian and a Democrat. Guess I make everybody mad. :-)

I could probably use a little better judgment sometimes.

I received a violation notice this AM. And it was for one of the most benign answers I'd ever given. I said a question was ridiculous and said the asker was a troll. If anything, I would have thought I would have been reported for any post other than that.

I'm beginning to think YA! is not the best use of my time. It's a nice format and all, but if that's the kind of silliness you have to deal with...

Why perform a little atheists block others? DO in addition they worry the solutions that don't accept as true with their viewpoints? i've got been blocked by utilising some atheists for an analogous reason that a Christian blocked you. no longer merely that, yet one coward despatched me nasty grams mutually as on an analogous time refusing to get carry of any mail himself. LOL, so there became no way i might desire to describe to him or respond to his nasty gram......I merely evaluate the source.

I answered a question with "does it really matter" and I was blocked is there something wrong with that response?
I didn't think it was ranting or harassment offensive in any way.
I guess you are right some people just don't like different opinion

I do welcome your question as when someone asks a question an only to find that someone has taken offence at it an sent a violation ,

I also have had Q & A removed and for no apparent reason , except that certain people do not like such an answer or the question that they may or may not like at least we at large have tried to give an answer that they may read or not, that is their choice.

Yes happens all the time.

If you dont give the answer they want sometine you get reported even though you didnt violate any guidlenes.

I got reported for posting a question during the world series during the game that the Red Sox scored so many runs by the 5th. My Question was "does anyone hear a fat lady singing?" The question got pulled so I emailed them back and wanted to know what guideline I was violating. Evidently they emailed the girl who reported me becuase they responded by saying a female poster felt offended becuase she was overweight and though I was making fun of fat people.

Especially Liberals! To most Liberals the only viewpoint they want to hear is a similar view from another Liberal. They want the world to march in lock-step with their ideas without question.

We have lost some good posters on YA in the last few days under fraudulent violations. One received 32 violations in an hour. I don't think anyone feels safe anymore.

Of course. I have some respect for them. The ones that make me ill are the ones that have been making bogus "Community Standards" complaints that have resulted in suspension of accounts. I'm looking forward to my next suspension since it indicates I'm annoying liberals.
