Jealousy is not a disease or condition. All people have the ABILITY to experience this emotion.
Experiencing jealousy is normal...letting it run your life becomes a problem. When jealousy becomes noticeable to others it is out of control.
Jealousy is evil...so one needs to be prepared to deal with this emotion before it grows too big. It is a measure of how far from reality we become...when we forget how blessed we are...and stake our stand upon a feeling of hateful-wishing.
Don't confuse "jealousy" with "competitiveness". Too many people say/think: I am just very competitive...no, you might be very jealous. Nothing wrong with wanting to achieve things that others have achieved. Nothing wrong with noticing that others may have had an unfair advantage...But don't find yourself wishing for someone else's lifestyle. That is lame.

We all have thought that the grass is greener on the other side at some point. And some politicians will even use jealousy to their advantage. (E.g. using jealousy of the rich as a justification for wealth redistribution schemes.) But I think most people are jealous only a little bit of the time; most of the time, we're too busy living our own lives!

Jealousy seems to never exist with those who WE think have it. For some reason, WE assume that others are jealous, but usually if you ask that person if they are jealous, they might say yes in a jokingly manner. However if YOU feel jealous, it may be slight manner in thinking of how you TRULY feel. Is it jealousy or is it that you want to better yourself or even inspired to acquire something that you can see yourself having?

No. Naturally people have clear mind. Jealousy raise from fear, fear from hatred, hatred from greed, greed from ignorance. The environment teaches us how to be greedy just after we were born. Since then we started to learn to be jealous until we realise the way things work and able to take the right responses for different circumstances.

At the root of jealousy is possessiveness. Jealousy is a conditioned emotional response to blame something outside of oneself for the possessiveness they feel within. The best way for one to grow beyond it is to become more giving.

Yes. All people go through it. I had five sisters that were given everything, every advantage that we were not simply because they are girls. It really restores my faith in equal rights.
