From my experience talking to medical school admissions, deans, etc., I don't think a medical school will accept you if you have a degree from an online college. If you are going to a reputable university, like a state university, and just happen to take some online courses, that would be fine. However, if you go to a school that is 100% online you have almost no chance of acceptance. One of the main reasons is because medical school requires that you take 1 yr each of Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, and all their associated labs before you can even apply to medical school. You also need a semester of Statistics or Calculus for many programs. To my knowledge, there is no way that you can take these courses online and have medical school still consider you as "competitive" when you apply.
Your best bet is to go to a state university or another college where you can take all the courses you need.
Good Luck

I'm sure it depends on the college, but I doubt it. If you are determined to go w/a strictly on-line school make sure the one you are going to is a nationally accredited school. If it is not your degree isn't worth the paper it is printed on! There are many on-line colleges that aren't what they profess to be. Be very careful!
My suggestion is that you go to a local university and take as many on-line classes as they have available if you have time / class attendance issues. This way you can feel assured that your education is a real one....
EDIT:
Check with the Med. School(s) you'd like to attend and ask this question to someone in the admin. dept. Don't forget to tell them which on-line college you're considering.
While you are at it ask about minimum GPA req. and what your MCAT score will need to be for that school to consider your application and possibly admit you...
Good Luck...

no, you wont get in. medical schools have certain pre-req's and a few of them are science classes with labs. Ex: cant take organic chemistry online. Medical schools are V ERY competitive and they set limits on how many they will accept every year. I would suggest that you go to an accredited four year college. if time is an issue pick a college that offers night and weekend classes. Good luck!!!

That is a good question. I really dont have that answer, but I can say that I know of people that got into med school and attended a community college prior to getting their bachelors degree.

some faculties enable twin enrollment like that, and others do not. talk on your counselor. My buddy's son did twin enrollment for the 1st 2 years of high school formerly attending commonly used college finished time.
