Besides greed, cheating, nationalism, conformity, corruption, untrustworthiness, and ignorance? Seriously, you don't see traditional values in Americans anymore. Did they ever exist? High divorce rates, a general lack of knowledge of the world outside our borders, increasing replacement of family time for work, corporate and government corruption, and increasing cheating in personal relationships today seem to go against any real "values" we ever had, if any.

By "traditional American values" someone usually means to form one's closest relationships within the family unit, to achieve as much education as possible, to establish financial independence through meaningful work, to provide for one's family and to give one's children the opportunity to live better than one's self, to respect all others regardless of race, creed, color, nationality, sexual orientation, politics, or ideology, to value optimism and progress in private and public life, to deal with others honestly and open-heartedly, and to allow room for others to experiment with their own lives, follow their own stars and be the best persons that they can be.
