hugs from their parents

2007-11-08 15:06:54 · answer #1 · answered by independent 2 · 2 0

Wouldn't it be wonderful if it were that simple?

Many serial killers were severely abused as children, resulting in tremendous anger and a cold disregard for others. They did not form normal bonds with their parents or others and thus lack empathy and the capacity to experience guilt.

And yet, some serial killers claim that their childhood was normal... and their siblings did not become violent....So it is thought that their genetic makeup, perhaps genetic flaws, may have predisposed them to violence and callousness.

Those who were severely abused as children may have not become serial killers had their childhood been loving (including more hugs) but we don't know for sure. For those who had a more normal childhood, hugs and affection apparently made no difference in how they turned out.

To a great extent, how serial killers became who they are remains a mystery that science has yet to solve.

I don't think hugs, just hugs, impact it at all. Serial killers, if they have any chance of being stopped by hugs, are stopped because their childhood isn't abusive, and that takes a lot more than hugs.

No, but serial killers can stop hugs.

Lol. I truly doubt that hugs alone stop serial killers. However, it wouldn't hurt to add that to the list of serial killer stoppers. Lol

Definitely not. There have been some notorious and prolific serial killers who led seemingly normals lives. They had wives and children and great networks of friends. They had plenty of affection in their lives from many sources, yet, were serial killers.

Hugs are part of growing up healthy

Monkeys hug for crying out loud... why can't kids.

We are fast becoming an unbearable society. Soon enough..talking in public will be offensive..the only way we'll be able to communicate will be through cell phones and internet chat rooms

No.
You can hug them as much as you want
but you wont even know your hugging a serial killer
until they kill someone.

Do hugs stop people from hating serial?

Like Corn flakes are for flakes.

I don't think so.

Maybe, the one they hug if they felt love.

It can provoke them... or stop them. It doesn't even really have to be a hug though, just a friendly smile and a hello could brighten a persons day.
