I attended college for the first time right after high school, and went back for second degree in my 30s and 40s, and both experiences were the same: Awesome. In college, people feel free to drop the attitudes and reputations that were burdening them in high school, and they are able to connect with others better. Also, even though you may not otherwise have anything in common with a person, when you're in college you all have the same things in common: School, tests, homework, stress, dreams and goals. These things will bind you together. I loved college at 17 and I loved it just as much at 40.

What happens is those high school kids graduate and their rich parents send them off to college. Once at college they become alcoholics and discover that nobody gives a crap whether or not they go to class. They don't have mommy cooking vegetables and packing brown bag lunches, so they start living off pizza and fried cheese.
You will have the same kids. They will just be fatter, lazier and hungover.

People are definatly more laid back in college than high school kids. It is a huge wake up call to the asshole kids in high school when they get to college and realize they arent the only people in the world.

think about it this way. those kids from high school are the same people going to college. so yes, they're all still there. unfortunately.
but with college, it's easier to get away.

no, college kids are generally better, but of course it depends on what college you go to.
the difference can be ascribed both to a larger pool of people (if someone's bitchy, you can avoid them), and that people are just more mature in general.

No I don't think so. Allot of my classmates are very determined and really don't have time to act immature.
