under C:/documents and settings and then you have the names of I guess the other computers/networks, and it will not allow me to access one of the "main" folders.
What do I do?

Try this, WinXP: Start>All Programs>Accessories>Windows Explorer. Now in Windows Explorer, go up to the headings, and click on Tools. Then Folder Options, then the View tab. In View window, scroll down to, "Show All Hidden Files and Folders", and click the box next to it. Now try it!

what you see under that folder is the other users on that computer. You may not have the permissions to see the other peoples files. If you need to get into them you may need to log on as admin. But they are not remote computers. They are files for other local users.

There the other users files. You have to be the system adminstrator to access.
Does somebody else share the computer?
