200
You people better go back to math class.
234.789 is 234 and 789 one thousands. It's still 234 and some decimals.
So if they want it rounded the nearest hundredth then it's 200 not 234.8.
No wonder the US is losing it's edge in math/science.

i ued to be like u, now im in eith grade
234.79
because u go to the hundreth place(the 8) the check the number to the right, which is 8.
theres a little saying
"5 or more,up the score, 4 or less ,leave the rest."
that means that when ur at the 8, look at the nine, sice nine is bigger than 5, you round the 8 up, thnen u get 234.79

the answer would be 234.79 because u look at the 7 and then look at the number after it, it is an 8. Now, If the nuimber(8) is higher than 5 you round the 7 up. so therefore, the answer is 234.79 =)
good luck

the hundredths place is always the second to the right of the decimal -- in this case, 8. however, since the digit to the right of THAT (9 here) is 5 or above, if you round to the nearest hundredth you get 234.8.
