I'm looking at mainly Braun. I know they're a good solid brand, and I know he needs something that is straight, not the 3 pivoting heads. He has a short beard, so he needs the straight edge to get a straight beard. What should I go with? HELP!

Not a razor.. a shaver. You know.. the big bulky things that cost a lot of money.. that don't require shaving cream.. ect. If anyone has a Braun one, let me know what you think of it, or which one should I go with?
I was thinking about the Braun Pulsonic, but I know they have got to have other shavers that work just as well, that cost half the price. The Pulsonic runs at aroung $215-$250

I've used both foil shavers, like a Braun, and rotary shavers, like a Norelco. My grandfather had a Remington foil shaver he used for years and years.
My experience with foil: they shave very close, but they get hot and the foil wears through pretty quickly. Foil shavers tend to be lighter.
My experience with rotary: the cutters generally last longer and are less 'fiddly' to replace, but they don't shave quite as close. The motor and gears are a bit heavy.
The batteries in the one rechargeable I had didn't hold up well.
Spend money on something quality and well-built (it's a guy thing)

So are you saying that he wears a very short beard? If that is the case you don't want a razor you want a trimmer
Like this one....

With this type of trimmer he can adjust the length that the trimmer will leave the beard.
If he wears his beard clean shaven I would HIGHLY recommend a top end Norelco... They do have a straight edge trimmer for the side burns.

I would talk it over with him. he may not want one. I have a VERY corse beard and an electric razor, even the top brands simply rip my facial hair out.
The thought is nice, but bring up the subject and get a feel for what he likes. Then find one that will match his facial hair type.

I praise you for that deep concern, you really very much concerned of the beard, must you do, you need it be good solid, straight and with pivoting head I supposed wud be wanting, never mind if he has a short beard...as long as you got it solid, straight and pivoting in more rhytmic thrusting pierces wud be more nicer and deep in sense...but matters most is the right positioning, must be comforting and all working well...the beard is one most important ingredient a man must possess to enhance the manly looks chivalric, macho bearing...dig nifies more the relationships, yeah think and imagine it more deeper...its sensually appeasing to both consenting mutualities...engage in, have it but don't buy it...more both will love it if its given free...never sell it ...tell it to him....use it more often...to naturally sharpen it....it will trim more passionate his beard....you'll love it.....hope you really deeply understood my most concern too....oh thanks you got it. You're truly intelligent even in raising your Q in right manner.
