I was changing my fuel filter today (canister type) after i removed the canister from my truck i noticed that there was a crack in it where the fuel lines join the canister the (tibb) i gave it a little force to see if it might be hair or something it completely broke off. So is there any way i can put it back on (by glue or other means) or should i go auto salvaging and try and find a new used canister in the junk yards.

Safest bet would be option #2 or buying it new. Although they do make this "Gas & Oil" sealant, I don't know how strong it is.

Is this "Canister" fuel filter the kind you toss away??...if so........toss it away and buy a new one...........if the canister has a Disposable insert..........then just to a wrecking yard and get a replacement..........if you want "New"..try www.napaonline.com

Definately replace, unless you want to break down at the side of the road cursing a glue that doesn't live up to the hype.

I had the same exact problem, I would buy another one if I was you but I can't find one anywhere.

I would think the fitting was overtightened and it cracked. Probably not repairable.
