At work, there are certain songs that are played over and over...well, they just started playing a new "store mix" which includes the song Almost Lover by A Fine Frenzy...
OMG...I swear I am gonna lose it one day...that song just causes the tears to start welling up...

Too many to mention, so many I could go on forever. Some used to and now longer affect me, and some I have to avoid because they are just too good. As my favourite artists keep coming out with new music, and I keep discovering new music, the library keeps growing. I keep them secret so as not to expose my vulnerability.

I have a few songs that really do it for me, big time, but in different ways.
"Everybody Hurts", by REM is a sad song that turns to hope
"Wicked Games" by Chris Isaak, great love song from the heart

One in particular is "Shine Your Light" from Ladder 49, Robbie Robertson I think.

There's one. It was the song that was playing when my boyfriend and I broke up after a really long time. It stings because it was a total accident (it was on the radio), but it was also the same song that was playing the first time he said "I love you".

Sure got a few...
One of them is "Sometimes when we touch", sung by R.Stewart... I just have to sing together with it and it touches me deeply...here is the chorus...

It's like magic, these songs just move you... stir you...make you feel like a fool but, who cares? They're so nice you'll always be touched when you hear them.

Wow. Powerful lyrics! Never heard the song before, but it fits someone from my past. Change "almost" to "brief". I miss him, but never really had him.
