They've been voted the #1 known helmet out of all of College Football!
I think it's an awesome design and no one else really compares.. no one comes to mind at least.
Any one who thinks different is just jealous... If they think they know something better then say it!
GO BLUE!!!!!

Michigan's uniforms are classic..The helmets are patterned after the old leather helmets that they used to wear at Michigan.Maybe there will be subtle changes next year because Michigan will be switching to Adidas from Nike under its new lucrative contract and the school will have more imput on design.

I'm not a Michigan fan at all, but I've always liked their helmet design, and colors. I also like the nickname Wolverines...in a Stan Lee-ish kinda way.

See, Michigan used to have solid dark blue helmets at one time until this homeless, drunk Ohio State fan snuck into the f*g house stadium locker room and pissed all over this helmet which was lying on one of the toilets where it belonged and a whole new era began when this pissed on helmet became a permanent fixture in Michigan football. Dont be fooled, throughout the years, this logo was altered to make it look more like the stripes on a wolverine because being ashamed( not taking about app st) they wanted to start their own tradition that Ohio State started for them and soon enough, as legend has it, we were refering to Michigan as our team up north which in later years was changed due to Michigans defiance, as THE team up north......and the main question asked about these wolverine helmets, Do these helmets really represent a wolverine in any way???? well, that gives credibility to the facts of my story....If you want any more facts about the existence of Michigan football, just pop me an e-mail, information is free to OSU fans but $24.95 USD for Wolverine fans wanting the truth about their true identity....................Oh, and commenting about Eugene from above, his storytelling is nothing but a complete fabrication, don't listen to him!!!!!

I agree with Eugene........that is how the helmet style came about. Its really a helmet you can identify quickly in college ball. All college fans could tell you in a snap....that's MICHIGAN on the field.
