This is one of the greatest things about being a believing Christian! Because you can confess your sin (failures) and god your Heavenly Father will forgive you. And the best part is that they will never appear again. but you must believe that Jesus died on the cross for you.
If you confess your sin, He is faithful and just to forgive you.!

Well yes and no. I think starting with a clean slate is good, but there is also something to be said about the lessons we learn from our failures. So I think that as long as you keep these lessons in the back of your head, it's a good idea to wipe the slate clean.

well not just like that no, I have to accept them for what they are and that will be mistakes that had both positive and unhelpful outcomes that I can take forward in the armourary of my coping strategies, most of the time. I may give my self a hard time over these for a bit but I do take the learning curve forward. Just wiping the slate clean doesn`t suggest any learning from the `mistakes` yes even the huge ones, which would also suggest that we may make these mistakes again and again on our journey through this life and that would get me down. Don`t you think?

This is a tricky thing. One will certainly want to be honest with oneself on this. Underlying much of this feature is the thing fear, which has 'that' penchant to etch into the very mind of the individual. Too imbricate a pattern of this sort of thing does result with certain karmic patterns, which in turn summon like experiences that brought the fears and then the failures again. Engrams are a powerful thing and are the bedrock of karma and karmatic patterns and expressions.

None truly wipes these clean as much as simply outgrows the affects and then moves past them through certain means of detachment (centering and balancing), but this 'can' take long, long stretches of time in not few individuals who walk the earth. As one develops, these scar the person less and less, and therewith does one draw less and less failures to oneself.

These things can linger if one does not in some way address the impulse and signature of these. It 'can' be a rough go indeed. Millions upon millions of people the world over can give testament to this. And few are there who are exempt. Even the saints, prophets, and holy persons were and are fitted with engrams.

'Comes with the territory of living life on a planet such as Earth. And yes, one 'can' forget and get above them...

Failure is just a word and on its own lacks context. Usually there are steps taken before the failure occurs. If you put in an effort to see that a process reaches its goal usually we are successfull right! If we are not then we reexamine how we did not reach the desired goal and then make changes. So, failure is just the wrong alternative and easily corrected. Even going for a Gold medal needs to be thought through, and if the athlete fails, well they don't just give up, they can say "well such and such occurred" . It is the anticipation or the baggage we take on the journey, prior to reaching the goal, that is the breeding ground for the false feelings and sense of failure.
Go the exempt ones so adept that there is no contemplation of wrong, right, left or right...lol!

I try not to. Having learned from them it's best to leave them on the slate so you don't forget them. But you don't have to waste time and energy agonizing over what you can't change. The past is past, for good or ill - and that depends on what we do with it. Anyway, some of the best times of my life were my failures! We're surely measured by what we attempt, whether we succeed or fail.

Failures are what motivate you to do better next time, that is, if you don't allow them to crush you. There's not a single soul who hasn't tasted failure in his/her life. That's how we grow up, evolve. Remember the story of the ant climbing up the wall and falling, again and again, till at last succeeds and motivates the dejected King???

So, not only can you wipe the slate clean of your failures, you can actually write your success story afresh...

You learn more from your failures than your successes so should not forget them. Rather, look at them, analyze them and grow to understand why you failed. Only by doing so can you move on knowing that you will not fail in the same ways again. Failure is an important learning tool.

There's always that memory of failure and your attempts to avoid it! If you learn from your failures, then there's no need to clean the slate!

Yes YOU can but there is always a lingering thing in your mind that you failed. In my case for sure. I am no Mother Theresa for sure.Wiping the slate clean isnt the same as erasing it from your mind. I can forget but its always way back in my mind of the other past mistakes.
