First of all, they need to get lowell!

the only way arod could even be thought of on the red sox should be at SS, because Lowell is going to be the third baseman, unless the red sox front office cant manage to sign a guy who wants to play in the city of boston and who is LOVED by the fans, and who is an amazing player. (Mike Lowell)

Cabrera would only be a final option if lowell and arod fall through. i would think of cabrera over arod if they cant sign lowell at third though. i would only persue arod as a SS, i mean if you HAD to persue him of course, I hope he doesnt even get an offer from the sox.

Mike Lowell for sure. :) Hopefully, he will consider the Red Sox's offer. He had a great season and ended up as MVP of the World Series. Not to say that A-Rod didn't have a great season either, but that wouldn't sit too well with Red Sox fans. ;)

They need Lowell, great player, a locker room leader and a swing built for FENWAY park.
The only way they'd lose him is if the Yankees offer him an rediculiously overpriced contract like they did Johnny Damon...then hope he won't end up like an albatros like Damon has.

They don't need A-rod. He is overpriced and not someone the SOX need to make a championship run plus he has major heat in the locker room for things he has done in the past.

They don't want Cabrera, his weight is ballooning every year & his defensive ability is suffering greatly. He is a great hitter but a 3B defense downgrade is not something to trade good prospects for.

Unequivocally,Lowell. A-rod would get booed out of the park....fans
in Boston really don't like him. Lowell is not just a good 3rd baseman...he is a good person ! Does alot for the community.

the sox should keep lowell, but they are known for getting rid of key players on their team. i wouldnt mind lowell wearing a yankees uniform next year. sox can have pay-rod.

Lowell, definitely. But they are either going to have to pony up a 4-5 year contract or about $16M a year for 3 yrs to sign him.

Cabrera is going to Angels, who cares where Arod goes - wouldn't surprise me if he ends up back in NY.

I am a huge red sox fan.
everyone listen.
it doesnt have to be either lowell or a rod!

a rod was originally a short stop so we could have both and send a rod back to his short stop position!
