Money plants are pretty easy. Just make sure it gets indirect light and water it when it is dry. I water mine about once a week, but it is about 4ft tall and in a large container. Smaller ones in smaller container would need to be watered more frequently. I just insert my finger about 3-4 inches and if the soil is dry, I water it. I've had mine for a long time and it seems to be working. Oh, they like to be outside in the shade when the temps are warm this is also a good time to fertilize it.

Good Luck

If you have what is also called "silver dollar plant" or money plant, it is a biennial plant that grows outdoors, blooms with pin, purple or white blooms in spring, then sets seeds in round, silvery pods that you can cut for arrangements. Reseeds everywhere, seeds can be planted as soon as they are ripe where you want them. Great butterfly plant, mine was just swarming with big swallowtails this spring. If you have a eucalyptus, which is also sometimes called a money plant because of the shape of the leaves, you can put it outside in the summer and cut it back to take in, in the fall, keep it in morning sun. It likes a cool atmosphere.

I also have a money plant. I keep mine in the kitchen window for sun light and keep the soil moist. I would say I water mine about 3 or 4 times a week. I have had it over a year now and its growing like crazy.

My mother had one in her yard-she lived in Seattle area so therefore it probably likes it damp. She always used the silvery "dollars" she had saved in the Fall arrangements.I believe you can slip off the outside to get to the "dollars" sometime in late summer-you'll have to experiment. They are a tough plant and spread. I live in Central Washington state and driving I have seen it growing over here also. It was facing south side but in the shade.
