Which is the best and what do they mean? It is a 19 inch 16:9 flatscreen

I have a 2.6 Ghz processor
Gforce 5200 256 graphics RAM card
and 1 gig of RAM

Those are different algorithms for sharpening an image, usually when it is scaled up or down.

I suspect that the best one is going to depend on what you are displaying. Some will be better for scaling text, where sharp edges are important. Others better for scaling video and pictures, where a smoothed image is probably better.

The best thing to do is to avoid scaling the image entirely and run the desktop resolution at the monitor panel's native resolution. Probably 1440 by 900 for a 19' widescreen.
