There is not one directly on the keyboard, but as long as you have a right numeric keypad, you can still create one.

These are called Alt Codes. For the square root sign, click on someplace that you can enter text, hold Alt, then on the right numeric keypad, hit 251, then release the alt key. This produces the square root sign.

This will work on ANY place that you can enter text...

Hope this helps!

If you use Word, you can go up to the Menu bar, Insert, down to Symbol and it will be in the character map ready to insert. However, if you make a note of the shortcut key there and remember this you can use that in future to bring it in. Alternatively, and even better, once you have inserted it, why not highlight it, go up to Tools, Autocorrect Options, and replace a key on the keyboard that you don't use, for instance the one with three symbols on next to the 1 key, so that when you press that key, the square root symbol replaces it.

Definitely not. Any normal keyboards wont have square root sign on them because it is not a commonly used sign.

No. I just looked at mine and it does not. That is so rare that it would be a waste of a key position. If you want that sign using WORD click on insert symbol and call it up for insertion.
