yes, i think that the arguments that people who are against them use are ridiculous. what is "morally" wrong according to a book which our government likes to pretend it isn't affiliated with (even though we all know that it really is) isn't a sufficient reason for not allowing two people who are truly committed to each other to have the same benefits as those who happen to be of opposite sex. it reminds me of segregation. people need to get over their own discomfort and start thinking of someone other than themselves.
oh and for those who are going to say that homosexuality just isn't "natural" go and google homosexuality in the wild animal kingdom.

Yup. Gays should have as many rights as anyone else in the world. If they want to get married, who's business is it but their own.
&& plz don't give me anything about marriage is a sacred, religious thing that should be done in the church blah blah blah.... Marriage (or some form of it) has been around way before religion was even introduced to the world. And anyhow, religion should have absolutely no influence on the law.
BTW: I am straight so this isn't a bias statement

Its not something I would do because of course Im a female that likes guys BUT its not up to me to judge anyone elses life style so if two guys or two chicks love each other then they should be able to be together- get married- and provide a home that they r happy in. It doesnt hurt anyone else so hey- let live!!!! Be happy!!!!

no-- i do not! marriage is defined as between a man and a woman , only no exceptions! i do think GOD is sick of mankind trying to rewrite his holy word!!! you can choose to live any way you want to but there are consequences for your actions.choose to follow GOD or not ! you can " marry " a chicken if you want to but GOD will not accept it! and there will be consequences for that type abomination as well ! now i realize people will use a hundred excuses or reasons to live a gay lifestyle,i understand that but it will not be excused by GOD, plain and simple! free choice -though so choose well.as far as civil unions i do not see anything civil about it but that is my opinion.if one or the other is to be put in place to afford rights to gay couples such as property etc. then i say a civil union is acceptable because to define it as marriage is an insult to GOD and married heterosexuals everywhere! you can not change the simple words of the matter in the bible,it is easy to see what GOD wants marriage for.it is not nor will it ever be for anyone or anything other than a man and a woman as GOD has said!good luck!

I am on the fence on this one
I want to say America is for freedom so same sex marriage should be legal and excepted
but
I see other countries like Iran making statements that there are no homosexuals in that country its an American sickness only.

Yep. I think we should give people the same rights when they share child-rearing (emergency room sign off, etc), and same taxes as the rest of us. ;)

I'm non-partial. I don't support it, but I'm not against it, because that's simply being closed mind.
to people against it, remember,
"Homophobia is gay."

No. I believe that Christ put man and women on the earth for a reason, to be with each other.
