I am writing on soemone else's behalf. But they HAD to have a injection as vitally ill and they had to be pinned down to bed hold down by 6 people to have her injection and she really screamed so no your'e no a wimp. NO WAY.
Me myself now I hate niddles I had a injection as schoo in year 10 and I really was close to running out of school and never having it done but then I could of ended up with a serious health problem for life but I did stay but i daftly as it was the 6 needles in one job I asked how it worked and I so wish I aint as after I felt right sick and very daft asking to see the needles. Then everyone round school was thuping each other arms where the jab was which didnt help.

No, don't be embarrassed. Many people don't like to get shots and have a panic attack. It happens all the time. I always try to look the other way and my Mom, who is a nurse (and used to give us the shots) would put an ice cube on the site before you got the shot or give you a little slap on the arm or butt before the shot and it would numb the area. That kind of helped.) I am sure that your Dad is proud of you for making the right choice and getting the shot for his peace of mind.

Everyone else can say you are a wimp, but I don't think so. I am a nursing student, and I have to get shots all the time time for school. I have gotten more used to it, but I still hate it! Nobody likes it!

But, maybe now you see that it's not that bad, it will be easier next time you have to get one. But, even then it's a little scary.

You're a bit wimpy:) But if it's any comfort, needle phobia is REALLY common (I've known honest-to-God medical doctors who have it), and at the end of the day, you were able to go through with the shot without a total meltdown.

If you have a vasovagal phobia (you get woozy or lightheaded during the shot), a good trick is to clench the opposite fist from the side you are getting the shot. That helps you keep your blood pressure up. And try developing positive associations with a shot... next time you get sick, try thinking to yourself "Boy, if only this illness was avoidable with a simple injection!"

NO!!! Some people might say your a wimp but I hate needles!! I never got a shot, but the doctor had to take some of my blood cause I got a spider bite. They thought that I might have had poisen it me!! I didn't though, thank goodness!! Shots aren't really good cause you need to get sick to get the bugs out of ya! Well anaway, you are NOT a wimp!!! Everyone is afraid of something!! :)

Nothing to be embarrassed about. I am 26 and I still hate to get shots. Needles are not fun. I'm am proud of you for getting the shot anyway. It's not fun but it's better than getting the flu!

um....yes. but most of the population doesn't like either needles or shots.

However, consider this: before the Industrial Revolution and the creation of steel, they used to cut your arm open to get medicine directly into the blood stream. Otherwise you'd have to swallow it.

Next time you have to get a shot, think of how much worse it could be if you lived about 100 years ago.
