Do you mean NFL player? If so, a couple things to consider:
1) These are successful guys, and successful people, even athletes, tend to have above-average IQs.
2) The sample size is relatively large. I think there are about 600 NFL players.
3) Nearly all of these guys attended major universities.
4) Repeated concussions can negatively affect IQ over time.
Overall, I'd bet that the average NFL player has an IQ slightly above average. The average IQ is 104 (it's supposed to be 100 in theory, but it isn't in reality), so I'll guess that the average IQ of NFL players is about 110.

There is no such thing as an IQ...
I know there are intelligent people and people that are not-so-smart, but to believe that you can rate a beings intelligence on a scale is ridiculous. The tests that "rate" a persons intelligence can be biased to the extreme. Someone can take a test get a 140 then take another test in a different format and get 115. The only "IQ" tests I have taken say that I am at or at least near genius level and I can promise you that I am NOT a genius. I am just good a multiple choice questions. I hate the fact that the idea of an "IQ" is so widely believed.

Outcasts are smart? LOL Many H.S. QB's are honor students and valedictorians or salutatorians. Some QB's like Jack Kemp went on to be important political figures. Even some lineman like Gerald Ford and Richard Nixon went on to be presidents of the USA. I'd go so far as to say that football players are above the average intelligence of the general public.

as everyone has said the average IQ is around 100 and the NFL is probably the same. there are a lot of really dumb guys but there are also a lot of guys who had 4.0s at very prestigous universities. while they may appear dumb most probably aren't. i think it all averages out and it ends up around 100

well i can say they have a better iq then blondes ahaha. I would say about 100 and qbs could even b up in the 114-115 range

It was 115-120 until Pac-man Jones came into the league. He single-handedly caused the average to drop to 90.
