How to add new block in my moodle?

I m new with moodle. Itis very interesting CMS. My problem is dont know how to add moddle block. eg. :lightbox_gallery block to my moodle. Kindly if anybody could help me to solve my problem. ( v 1.9 2006) Tq

Are you talking about the My Moodle page (e.g. http://path.to.your.moodle/my), or any course page?

On the My Moodle page, click the 'edit this page' button in the top-right corner. You'll get a block labeled 'Blocks' with a pull-down menu of all the available blocks on the system. Choose the block you want.

If you are an instructor wanting to add blocks to your course pages, there is an 'turn editing on' button on the top-right that will bring up the 'Blocks' block, as above.

If you are an admin asking about adding non-standard blocks to your Moodle installation, go to the moodle.org Modules and Blocks database, download the block you want and install it in your moodle/blocks directory. Then visit your admin->notifications page to install the block.
