I would not risk it.

A soft cloth (cotton or micro fiber) dampened with water (you may want to use bottled or distilled water if you live in a hard water area)

More stubborn or greasy marks, use a mild soap solution - like liquid hand soap.

For really stubborn marks dampen the cloth with iso-propyl alcohol.

Never use paper towels, never use dish detergent. both are abraisive. Never use any other chemical unless is it specificly ment for cleaning a monitor screen or eye glasses.

Do not use any chemicals on an lcd screen other than what the mfgr suggests. Some cleaners actually eat the screen and others may stain it. And all screen surfaces are not the same !!

I wouldn't, but maybe that's just me! I'd use a warm damp cloth when the monitor's off,(I mean hardly damp, no visible water!) That's the instruction's, that came with my Gateway FPD 1950.
