I just viewed a recent post a saw something appalling. I know you're not supposed to vent here but this one had to many people to "report". A gal asked for advise on cutting herself and swarms of people were bashing her telling her how dumb she was etc. Wouldn't it just suck if carma came back to bite you in the a$$ and she 86ed herself? Sure she should call someone for help like a hotline or a counselor etc. Give the girl a damn break. Admitting a problem is the first step!!

As for those who gave advise to cut veggies, excercise, art, and the other safe ways to vent - kudos! Nicely done. I like to crank the music and clean the hell out of my place when I'm in serious need of venting.

I really hope you see this young lady. I also really hope you know who you are that I'm aiming this at. I'll be looking for you. I won't post your question or name because I don't want to embarrass you either.

Let the bad comments fly.............

PS I was in that same dark place 20 years ago and did some cutting until I had an epiphany. No, it was NOT attention seeking. I was painfully depressed and had no one to turn to. I turned my energy/frustration to music and hikes in nature and found my peace and answers there. I also found throwing rocks into the great expanse of the woods to be a great release. I was a lucky person to live in the burbs where we had wooded areas away from houses etc. where I could be alone.

Wow, that is very disturbing, but yet tragic. Cutting and self-physical abuse are among the largest killers in the teenage populous. Closely related to suicide of course. I have dealt with cutters on a personal level. Most of their problems are generated through family issues and social rejection and other such problems. People telling her she's stupid will only further the propulsive instinct to "86 herself". I find this very immature of those people. Indeed, cutting other things is a good way to relieve the urge. Usually, a psychologist would help in this sort of thing, or in a lot of cases, a family counselor. Cutters ae socially fitted with goths and "emos" or emotionals. So beware of the stereotypes, those are the worst. I sure hope this girl gets good help, killing yourself is very sad and it hurts me to see that stuff. Thank you for your question and support.

Andrew.

I agree with you one hundred percent, there are times here when people need to recognize that someone needs help, not bashing, but unfortunately just about any question you ask here somebody will take a shot at you. Lets face it, there are people here who could care less whether you live or die, and thats sad but it is the world we live in today. When we have more people waiting to go to prison than we do in prison, we have a problem. Hopefully the person you are referring to got the help she needed. Thank You for reminding us about this issue, maybe somebody reading your comments was one of them and will think twice about negative comments next time.

No bad comments from me. I agree. When people come on and ask something along those lines they are crying out for help and don't need idiotic answers from immature fools. I hope that girl gets the help she needs.
