my friend wants to know if you are supposed to shave your pubic area. i dont know what to tell her tho cause i havent started my period yet. i told her that i always heard that you are sposed 2 wax or you will get ingrown hairs or somethin like that. so what should i tell her now???

The pubic hair is there for a reason, to keep bacteria out of the genital area. I don't shave or wax, but trim, it reduces itching, ingrown hairs and bacterial infections. Tell your friend that.

Its a personal preference to shave or not. Some do and some dont.
Some wax because the effects last longer and some shave.
You will find what works for you in due time.

You can shave, trim or wax. If she shaves she should shave with the hair and not against it like you would your legs or underarms. Ingrown hairs are possible, be sure to moisturize afterwards

My teacher told me pubic hair isn't a requirement to have because it causes odor. Waxing may be a way for you but I just shave because waxing hurts, so I've heard.

It is a personal thing. Some ladies like to keep it trimmed, other shaved, and some go natural.
If you shave be careful when it starts to grow back it will itch like crazy.

Tell her that she is not supposed to do anything...she should do what she wants to do. If it bothers her than she should shave it, if not leave it alone. I guess it is there for a reason, though I've never understood why!

You don't have to if you don't want to. But if you don't want hair down there the best way is to wax it. It's gonna hurt but it's better because it lasts longer and it just gives better results.

I wouldnt at your age. When you get older its up to you.Alot of females shave or wax.

No, shaving or waxing is not necessary. People do it for purely aesthetic purposes.

You aren't "supposed" to do anything there. You can if you want. I prefer the FM (uncut) version, but I have never rejected one because of the styling.
