How many hours does she have without having a problem? For example, she usually takes it at 7 AM, then one day she forgets but she takes it in the afternoon, like around 5 PM, is there a problem?

To work best, birth control should be taken consistently and at regular intervals.

That said......why have you and your girlfriend not considered abstinence?

If you weren't having sex, you wouldn't have to worry about pregnancy.

You SHOULD take them within a 2 hour range (so if you take them usually at 8, you can take them as early as 6 or as late as 10)

You really have to take them within a 4 hour range.

If it was 6 hours, you missed it.
She should be fine if she takes it right away (as soon as she remembers) and then continues taking them on time on her regular schedule.

But, if she misses 2 like this, you should wait until her next cycle before having unprotected sex.

She's fine. It's recommended to take at the same time every day more for reasons of making it easier to remember taking them, not necessarily because you'll ovulate if you take it a few hours late.

Nothing to worry about unless she skips an entire day or two altogether.

I do that all the time ! I always forget, and take it later in the day - sometimes i take it exactly the same time everyday . . . and its fine as long as you take it daily.
