Some women will experience Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS). PMS is characterized by symptoms of bloating, weight gain, water retention, headaches and/or cramping that usually occur a few days before a woman's menstrual period. Since each woman's body is different, the symptoms of PMS will vary from woman to woman. If you are concerned about gaining weight during your menstrual cycle, you may want to consult with a health care provider for more personalized advice.
