Do the prices suck? Yes. But that being said, still cheaper than Europe. So at least we know we don't have it the worst.
Besides if people really wanted to do something, they would simply quit driving around all the time for every little thing so the gas companies profits would go down. People who drive 100 yards to the store and complain about gas prices is just as bad as people who compalin about Movie stars salaries and then go to the movies once a week. Personally i don't blame the gas companies since no actual consumers are doing anything about it personally.

I don't think about them at all anymore...I donated my car 3 years ago to the Kidney Foundation and have been riding transit ever since. For those big hauls, like grocery shopping, where I can't load everything onto the bus, I just call a cab. It's still way cheaper than owning/operating a vehicle. And I'm helping the environment too!

I love Hummers. I love duallies. But I can't even afford gas for my freakin Saturn! This is becoming BS! But if you think the war is the only reason we have high gas prices, think again. Does it contribute? What doesn't contribute? I know I just wanna jack someone up everytime I have to pay $36 to fill a midget car!

You haven't seen anything yet. The worst is yet to come. I suggest that you save while you can. You'll need it later. Consider moving to a place where you are less dependent on motorized vehicles. I walk to work. There isn't a place in town where I cannot reach on foot. Not everyone can do this. Good luck. Forget about alternative vehicles. The technology is for those with money.

O.K. vehicles are being affected. But...what about America all over? Everything is transported using gas or diesel, plus home heating. The cost of food is going to be unaffordable, as everything needs fuel to make or be carried from place to place. It's not just your own vehicle that is going to be affected.

What do you think is going to happen to America & the whole Western World?

We are going to grind to a halt!!

Only the rich will be able to afford everything & it's going to be a whole lot worse than the 1930's depression.

Look what's happening to the U.S. dollar.

I love them very much. I always like to see something I require increase in price at a far higher rate than my salary.

I really love seeing everything else I buy cost more because the trucks that bring it to the store have higher fuel bills too.

I am very happy about high fuel prices! I'm so happy, I feel like staying home and not buying any gas.

I hate it!!! Just because of that, everything else is going to be more expensive. It's all about the money and not the people. The gas doesn't have to be that expensive. It's crazy!!!!

I really don't think we'll see a drastic change in people's driving habits until gas stabilizes at above 4 bucks a gallon.

Gio - ever heard of the law of supply and demand? Classic case of it here.

India and China are consuming as much gasoline as the US is.

Opec is cutting production.

The environmentalists won't let us drill for the known oil reserves in here in our own country. We haven't built a new refinery in over 30 years.

So, what do you expect?
