Actually, toothpaste probably wont get rid of your pimples all together, but like many acne medications, toothpaste dries out your skin, soaking up some of the nasty oils that build up in your pimples. It reduses the redness and size of the pimples, but if u really want to get rid of them, i'd recommend going to a dermatologist. They can prescribe something that they think will work on your skin type. I hear, and know, that Differin Gel works pretty good, especially on those big, gross zits that cover-up just cant seem to hide. Also, a good trick i've learned is, after u take a shower at night, remove all of your makeup. Then soak your face in warm (i repeat, warm, hot can dry out skin and cold doesn't kill bacteria as well) water and scrub on an alchohol-free face scrub with a loofa or a face sponge (Phisoderm is a good, drying facewash). It's good also to have a nice skin moisturizer in the morning becuase alot of drying face washes can irritate skin. Make sure that when ur scrubbing your face, you work in the wash is small circular motions, this helps open up pores and lets the medication do it's job down deep. Then afterward, it's a good idea to use a nice gentle acne medication (Clearacil can be found in most grocery stores) and use a small amount on each individual pimple. If u dont have any acne medications, then i'd suggest soaking your zits it salt water to calm down the redness, or adding a dab of toothpaste to those nasty suckers. In the morning, rinse your face in cool water. It might take more than one washing to show any signs of approvement, but trust me, this'll work.

Toothpaste does NOT help get rid of pimples.
Toothpaste will dry out your skin, getting rid of the oil produced on your face. And you might think "Yes! Thats a good thing, the oil is whats causing my pimples"
But the more dry your skin gets, the more oil will be produced and so you will just have either more pimples, or shinny gross skin.
Just wash every night with gentle cleansers and let time take place. Eventually you will clear up. If not, go to a dermatologist and get some cream

Yes, I done it before, it dries ot the pimple.
The tooth past can't have gel in it though.
Some people say that it doesn't work, but it either just didn't work for them, or they did it wrong.
I say you try it, over night, with a non-gel toothpaste, only on the pimple and see how it turns out.

MYTH: Toothpaste shrinks zits.
TRUTH: False! It might dry your skin a bit, but there are no known pimple-fighting ingrediants in toothpates. Try it if you're in a pinch-it can't hurt-but it's better to use a product that contains benzoyl peroxide. Try Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10, $5, at drug stores.

It works for me, it kind of burns though. Put a little bit of the toothpaste on the pimple and rub it in like halfway. Make sure you use the white toothpaste and not the gel. Usually I put it on overnight.

Toothpaste contains flouride which is a strong antibacterial agent, working against spots as a barrier stopping bacteria from getting in. It doesn't do much else, but if you want to use toothpaste, look for toothpaste with a high percentage of flouride, on the ingredients on the side of the box.

Yes, Aim or Colgate providing it's the White pasted version instead of the gel version. Just place it right on the pimple and rub in smoothly and you are good to go! Just use once to twice per week and a very small amount each time!
Also, cut down on your sweets intake as well as drinking alot of soda with acid!!
Much Love
Peace & Happiness

Yes it does work, just put a small dab on your pimple and in the morning wash it off. I like to use Aquafresh, it seems to work better then like Crest or Colgate -- It works a lot faster then they do. I've never had any problems with my skin drying out like other people on here. I really like it cause its cheaper then pimple creams and it works!
