Yep, think most people have been there before. I know I have and well, I'm kinda there now, sad but true. I mean I feel lonely and kinda sad from not having a person I love that loves me back and we enjoy being together and spending time together. Truth is I am not alone, I have family and friends, but that's not the same. I get down and depressed from time to time and sad. I just deal with it, I have yet to find anything that fills that void and lord knows I have tried. I have done everything from drinking, womanizing, large amounts of Xanax, being around large groups of people and being just alone. Nothing works, the feeling remains the same just my surroundings change. It's kinda sad but I get online and look things up and play around. That is one thing that kinda helps a little, but still the feeling is there. You just have to be strong and learn to get use to it, I have had a lot of practice at it, more than anyone should have. You might try reading or something to help take your mind off of it for a little, that helps me some to, but the feelings keep coming back, so I have learned to just accept it there is nothing I or anyone can do. Life is not really fair, but what can one do? =) Keep your head up things are bound to get better. =)

Yes, I do. My husband travels a lot and I have a hard time dealing with the loneliness. I cried tonight when we emailed back and forth. I am waiting to start a new job, and while I wait, I pass the time painting the house. We are best friends and it is very difficult when he is gone. I don't have any other best friends. I miss him very much.

yup. many many times. cause i'm more of the quiet and shy kind so when i am in big groups of people i tend to keep to myself and people dont tend to talk to me much either cause i give single syllable answers. heh. anyway during these times i would just daydream and think of happy stuff so i wont feel lonely. (:

prozac, zoloft, xanax.... maybe they can help? or you can watch every game of a sports team that way you have someone to hang out with all the time - and then they'll be your "friends" and you'll feel less lonely.
