I opened my phone up, dried off the insides with paper towel and blow dried it.

i put the battery back in and it turned on, but the screen was flickering just a little bit. other than that, it was ok.

i took apart again and decided to leave it to dry for a couple days.

should i keep it laying on my desk for a while and then see if it works? or should i start looking for a new phone?

I'd give it a try after letting it dry out thoroughly.
My son's has been washed a few times, and survived. Just don't power it on until it's real dry.
On the other hand, mine went into the river, and was completely dead!

to late :( should have let it air dry alot longer..and deff not put the battery on. make sure that theres no red dot now on the back of the phone that shows water damage. if its not red..send it back to manuf. ;) but if its red...they wont fix it.
